Mechanisms of action
Chamomile flowers contain 1–2% volatile oils such as alpha-bisabolol, alpha-bisabolol oxides A & B, matricin (which is usually converted to chamazulene and other flavonoids with anti-inflammatory and antiphlogistic properties), and matricin (which is usually converted to chamazulene and other flavonoids with anti-inflammatory and antiphlogistic properties).
